hello everyone its almost halfway till we are done with this genius hour. I haven't been active with everything since i got very sick and sore; which didn't let me do much but just lay down for a max of 3 days. It started Saturday(26) which it was the fifteens so all i did is get lit the whole night causing my bad feeling. Then for Sunday and Monday(27-28) just stayed in bed with a sore body, dry throat and high temperature.
Right now at the moment i am just doing cardio which is helping a lot. I am doing it for 30 minutes a day now, i have been feeling more fit and able to workout for an extra day plus on the week end on Saturdays i do a whole hour of cardio. Everything that i have been eating in my opinion or in my eyes i think i have been doing good. I feel healthy; i have been eating 2 meals per day. In the mornings i eat cereal which contain 20g of protein and for a serving is just 120 calories which is not a lot and still gets you full. Then in the afternoon i eat homemade food which is around 4-5 and then just finish my day with out eating or eat fruit as a snack. I do my cardio around 7-8 I forgot to take a picture of my weight this week ill have one for next week update. The main key to losing weight is drink a lot of water!

We are in our 4th week of this goal, but i just started with this one it has been going good resting every Wednesday. On the days that i been working out i have been doing cardio for 30 minutes and upper body weights with a dumbbells from an exercise i seen on YouTube. This upcoming Saturday the 19th i will be doing cardio for 1 hour straight except no weights because every Sunday i have fifth-teens which is basically cardio and lifting which includes muscles for about 2 hours straight.
I have been eating good low calorie high protein stuff. Also i am in a calorie deficit which i am only taking in 1500-2000 calories a day and with that i drink a lot of water; it gets me very full. When i see a difference in weight i might add more time to my running on week days to like an extra 15 minutes and also add 500 calories to my diet. Friday the 18th i really messed up i decided to eat out and that messed up my diet just because everyone around me wanted to eat so it just made me get food too. I'm standing on 200 pounds. It's the 3rd week and I've been struggling to keep trying on my dunking journey. I have decided to switch it to a losing weight journey which i'am going to be on a calorie diet and also keep working out but not as hard as i did to succeed in dunking. i decided to do this because it was just so much for me; it was so overwhelming for me, i seen the net and just didn't give me hope anymore. I hope y'all understand why i did this.
I will still be trying to dunk by going every Friday to the park and doing a type of workout which is cardio. i am going to try and lose 15-20 pounds in the next 9 weeks. Hello everyone, it took me a minute to actually find a great video to help me build up leg muscle and vertical jump spur.
I've been doing
I do this after school if i have time from Monday through Thursday. It takes up to an hour and a extra 30 minutes for cardio. Every Friday i try and go to a basketball court and see how i been doing; can touch the rim. i guess is going good. you tube video: NAthaniel Morton; Home workout to increase vertical jump! with no need of weights ( i'm doing weights tho) For my genius hour project I want to improve in my basketball skills and leg work by being able to dunk by the next 12 weeks.
First i am going to record myself for the first time and see where i stand at and if i need to improve a lot. I will be watching you tube work outs for better leg strength and how to better my jumping spur. I might also try eating healthy and see if anything could help me more for my goal. I'll be working out 3-4 times a week and record my jump growth every Friday. Hope my goal is successful. |
